Whew! Things are swirling down here at the switchboard central of The Smallest Parade in the Universe!

Entries are coming in, people are calling, the press loves this concept! Energy is high!

TOMORROW is the DESIGN WORKSHOP where entrants can swap tricks of the trade and hear how the pros do it. Ann Lorraine, a consistant prize winner in Fantasy Fest costume and float competitions and window designer for Fast Buck Freddies for two decades will bring her expertise to the table, along with samples of her work. See the video of her Fantasy Fest floats at billlorraine.com (top right tab). Rick Worth will be there also. He is the designer of the interpretive “Duval Street” backdrop and another prize-winning designer. Aside from his awesome artistic talent, he has unique skills in technical problem solving. Rochelle Eannarino may also show up—depending on her work schedule. She and her team are very creative float designers and her imagination for using materials will astound you! The Workshop is 5-7 pm at the Waterfront Brewery, William and Caroline Streets.

DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO OCTOBER 9! The interest is spreading and we have room for more entrants, so we lengthened the application time. October 10 I will send out detailed information on delivery and drop off and other elements of the event.
